house building vastu – Fortunate location and Vaastu friendly design for kitchen
I used ton’t mind the heat, I was just happy to be outside. Yet, it did impede the speed of the progress at the construction website. It was grinding job between digging, mixing concrete, putting blocks, and bending rebar, most that I had little to no working knowledge in.
I will acknowledge that building houses was not in my job description. As I sat there with my back against a tree I squeezed a half bottle of water over my mind. A smile crossed my head, not because I felt much joyful, but because I was truly pleased. I recognized a gentle breeze which unexpectedly drifted round the landscape and took my thoughts with it. My mind began to wonder. Just how can I arrive here?
Are not there something more to life than routine and monotony? Sometimes I would often wonder if a lot of everyone was really getting in the morning motivated by the job they were doing and how their lives were unfolding. I had a switch. I wanted to eventually become actively involved in something positive which could provide me with a feeling of purpose. Does that even exist, and if yes where can I sign up? Perhaps it’s easier said than done. Can one person really transform the world? I wanted to discover.
Habitat for Humanity International is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian organization dedicated to eliminating substandard housing and homelessness worldwide and making decent, affordable shelter a matter of conscience and action. Habitat only started a new International Volunteer Program (IVP) to get long-term volunteers and that I was the very first to experience the program. I felt this is a tremendous opportunity since the organization was built and existed on the aid of volunteers. Starting out I had been somewhat on edge, in due time I found my groove within the Habitat framework. It was incredible – I was actually enjoying office job. I participate in the creation of substances such as an volunteer manual, meeting guides, and evaluation forms. I caused a taskforce for its continuous advancement of the IVP program. I administered an on-site volunteer training plan at El Salvador. The greatest part in my job was getting to work along with other volunteers, people who were there not because they must function but were there simply because they wanted to be.
So far as the volunteers have been concerned, my job was to coordinate housing and arrival logistics, then administer orientations, and encourage them during their stay. There was such a charm amongst the volunteers I would simply take it a step farther and plan weekend trips and after-work outings. We finished up not simply changing the lives of many others, but shifting the lives of eachother. Dealing together with Habitat gave me the confidence to feel I can accomplish virtually any task, but more importantly it gave me a genuine sense of satisfaction in being ready to work hard at work worth doing.
Normally as I could I’d break out from the workplace and take volunteers on build trips to Habitat construction sights during Costa Rica. It was heart warming to see firsthand the culmination of work. Out at the sight we would work together with the benefitting Habitat family who was always very open-minded, friendly, and respectful of our help. The spectacle was a wonderful amalgamation of cultures, economic backgrounds, and beliefs. Yet the frequent bond which tied us together wasn’t that the very simple notion of building a home. Just watching every one working, laughing, smiling, and discussing generated an atmosphere therefore rich with emotion it made me rethink the way I defined riches. Your house was emblematic greater than only a place of dwelling. It symbolized a unity, a coming together, and an inherent understanding of equality which we’ll carry together for the remainder of our lives. As cliché as it might sound, it was true. We were not only building homes, we were building lives.
Internationally or conflict settlement or human rights, the environment – it’s disheartening to consider there are so many ways to get involved and give back to the global community. It doesn’t matter where you begin to get started making positive contributions just as long when you make your decision to actually start somewhere. Fundamentally, this is among the toughest decisions to produce. I decided the movement of eliminating poverty housing. Did I eradicate poverty housing? Maybe not really close. Did I succeed? Definitely! The serenity of my experience taught me that I alone can’t eliminate poverty housing, that directed me into this answer I was looking for. Perhaps 1 man can’t change the planet, but the planet can surely change for a single individual. And it has this domino effect, which if spread throughout the globe we can, together, reach the unthinkable and create a world that reflects the warmth of humanity in the place of its own indifference.
